Electric Kettle Review Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp

Cuisinart CPK-17 is a 1.7 liter stainless steel electric kettle with 1500 Watt power. Unlike many of its opponents, CPK-17 comes with lots of advanced features that make this kettle among the most functional and easy to use models in the marketplace.
The first thing we were curious about was how long would Cuisinart CPK-17 take to boil 1.7 liters of water. The reply was that it was quickly and we didn't have to wait for a lot more than a few minutes to boil the entire load. When the water is boiled, it shuts off automatically with a beep.
Furthermore, there are 7 presets that make life more easy if you desire the water at the correct temperature for whatever drinks you're preparing.
The presets contain Herbal Delicate, Green Tea, White Tea, Oolong, Black and French Press and work work as thought. Although this innovative feature adds to the price, we believe it'll be attractive for anyone who's interested in preparing beverages at the temperature that is optimal.

The keep alternative that is warm is a fine add-on; you can keep the water warm by just pressing the keep warm button near the top of the handle, and the kettle will keep the water at the desired temperature for about half an hour. If you use the keep warm mode, you are able to boil the water again by pressing the start button.
This feature is sometimes a real energy-saver for those who like to drink a cup of tea or coffee every half hour approximately.
The boil dry protection and the auto-shutoff functions can also be important pluses that produce the kettle really safe to use.
The swivel base is also nicely designed and keeps the cord out of the way. The dripless spout is a nice feature to have as always as it keeps the counters from random splashes. The scale filter can also be simple to remove and replace. You replace it if necessary to prevent clogging and should make sure you check it from time to time.
We have seen several users complaining about scale build-ups, but we cannot since we did not run into such a scenario testify for that.
The Verdict of Our Cuisinart CPK-17 Review
To start with, this unit is a little pricey, so if you'd prefer an one that is more affordable, you may need to look at Bonavita. But if the cost is not really a problem and when you would like a kettle that's all the bells and whistles to warrant the cost, you may consider Cuisinart CPK-17 as a very good alternative.

Pros:
Good looking, fast, tons of attributes that are innovative
Disadvantages:
The price may be too high for some
There are a lot of complaints about scale accumulation (which may or may not be the kettle's fault)
